Live Edit is a program that displays data from Nissan ECUs in an easily readable format and allows you to edit and save the prom image for burning onto a chip.
You have to provide a configuration file that tells Live Edit the locations of the various data. Once you can edit and save the data on your computer you can either burn the chip and install it in your ECU or use a device like a romulator to run your ECU and allow quick and easy changes for tuning, then burn a chip once you have everything tuned the way it needs to be. Three versions of Live Edit are available here. Use whichever works best for you.
You will also need a configuration file that tells Live Edit the hex locations of data in the prom image. A zip file containing a stock SS prom image and the Live Edit config file for Z31 ECUs is here.
