Upcoming shootout: SEZS part 8
SEZS(SouthEast Z Shootout) is an event started by Morgan and Scottie
in 2002. We wanted to get together as many cool Zs in one spot as
possible. You can read the history of SEZS1-4 below. At the end of
2004 I moved to another continent and was unable to organize SEZS any more.
A friend of Scottie's(Warren) took my reigns and now does most of the
legwork for organizing the event. See the link above for current information
about SEZS.
Previous shootouts:
- SEZS part 4 14.Mar.2004 in Reynolds, Georgia (attendance: 243 people, 81 cars racing)
My pictures.
The largest number of Zs racing yet! Many were present that didn't race also. Record 350Z
attendance with at least 7 present, one even running 11s! Z32 attendance was excellent also.
Bueatiful day, plenty of pink skin to go around afterwards. Unfortunately attrition was high
with a brokwn z32 driveshaft, s30 half shaft, s30 mustache bar, and a 350Z that grenaded an
intake manifold with a nitrous backfire.
- SEZS part 3 14.Sep.2003 in Reynolds, Georgia (attendance: 154 people, 54 cars racing)
The bad weather forecasts, while they never came true, conspired to keep
attendance below that of the previous SEZS. While fewer in numbers, the
average wow-factor of Zs present was significantly higher.
- SEZS part 2 23.Feb.2003 in Reynolds, Georgia (attendance: 252 people, 80 cars racing)
Oh my god, what have we done? With a line backed up to the highway on a
bueatiful sunny Georgia weekend, Silver
Dollar Raceway was packed with people and Zs. Non-stop racing, tons of
amazing cars, and people everywhere. What more could you ask for?
- SEZS part 1 13.Sept.2002 in Montgomery, Alabama (attendance: 37 Zs)
The first SEZS. With word-of-mouth and internet publicity, 37 Zs showed up
at Mongomery Motorsports Park in Montgomery, Alabama on a test-n-tune night
for some fun and a few drinks afterwards. Weather was drizzly and the track
was basically empty except for Zs.
