What fuel pressure are you running and which injectors are you running. Also, did you install the drop resistors?

I'm also curious about this....I plan to run the same setup for now. I heard you can use '75 Mercedes 450sel injectors with dropping resistors....fuel pressure I have NO clue about either.

I'm currently running the JWT 450 kit. It sucks. AFR's are in the 10's at cruising. I've bought a afpr and i've been lowering the FP to 30 at 0 vac.

I've been getting 10 MPG. Why did i buy it? It was dirt cheap and i needed an EMS. I'm selling it and buying nistune.

So that's two so far against JWT450. Anyone on here running it getting positive results? How did you install it, what type of power gains, supporting mods, mileage, etc?

The reason I asked is its pretty popular, so that must mean there are alot of ppl that are getting great results. I can't imagine some ppl getting shitty mileage and a bad tune and others having great results with the same product.

You're doing something wrong then. I've used a JWT450 many years ago and got 20+ all the time. The fastest Z31's 10 years ago all used that setup with very little problems. I'll admit they are horridly conservative on tuning but that is expected in a part they sell over the internet.

Did you just put the new ecu in place? What maf and injectors are you using? Are you using the stock fuel pressure regulator?

One for. I've heard nothing but good things about the setup till I came here and heard ppl complaining about bad mileage. If you car is running good when you upgrade PROPERLY, it should do what it says it will.

With that upgrade should be:
1)ECU 88-89
2)420cc injectors
3)top feed fuel rail
4)'93 Cobra/'01 Lightning MAF
5)Z32 or Walbro 255lph fuel pump
6)Rid of the "injector campaign"
7)Boost controller
8)Dropping resistors
9)Intercooler is optional under 10psi?

Is that correct? I heard you can use the Bosch 11mm injectors or the ones from a 1975 Mercedes 450sel and buy an injector gasket kit for like $20 before you install them.

What am I missing here??

You only need the ecu, correct size injectors, and the cobra maf. If you use low impedance injectors then you need dropping resistors.

If you actually want to get anywhere need the capacity of those injectors you need a real fuel pump, boost controller, and intercooler. They are not required to make it run right.

All this can be determined by reading the documents on the JWT website. It's a crappy looking site but the documents are helpful.

I've read their site, and even tried to email them about it. I'm just trying to piece it together now. Got a good deal on the ECU and injectors, trying to find a good MAF. The intercooler I'll probably have to have custom made, as I can't find one and don't trust ebay very much.
